Project Potluck + King Arthur Baking

Product Edition

Baking Pitchfest Product Edition focuses on baking brands founded and owned by People of Color across the United States. Finalists will travel to Vermont for a two-day event to pitch their product idea in the hopes to win a purchase order in the King Arthur product portfolio.

Eligibility Requirements
  • Person of Color led business
  • Project Potluck community member (learn how to sign up here)
  • Product must be baking related, including ingredients, mixes, ready to eat foods, and tools
  • Product must be tangible good, not a service
  • Product must be fully in production and must be able to provide proof of sale  
  • Business located and incorporated in the U.S.
  • Alcoholic brands are not considered 
  • Product must have a stated product shelf life and lot code, if consumable
  • Product must be aligned with our Quality Standards 
  • Must be able to meet King Arthur Baking business requirements
How to Apply
  • Starting January 2, see the link below to complete the online application and attach a 3-minute video introducing your product(s)
  • Applications open January 2 to February 10, 2024
  • Please note: Finalists will be asked to compete in a live competition at the King Arthur Bakery in Norwich, Vermont on May 30 to 31, 2024. Be sure to save this date as finalists must participate at this event to be eligible to win. A travel stipend will be provided for finalists.
Winners will receive...
  • A purchase order within one year from King Arthur Baking Company
  • A Project Potluck Mentor
  • Brand-building exposure through features on King Arthur Baking marketing platforms

    Applicants will be judged on uniqueness, quality, creativity, and potential for success

  • Live Pitchfest in Norwich, Vermont May 30 to 31, 2024

Bakery Edition

Baking Pitchfest Bakery Edition focuses on People of Color owned bakeries in the Northeast and Washington state looking to reach the next level with their bakery business. The finalists will compete in a virtual event for a chance to win financial support to build their business.  

Eligibility Requirements
  • Person of Color led bakery
  • Project Potluck community member (learn how to sign up here)
  • Current King Arthur Baking customer 
  • Serving communities in the following areas:
    • Washington State
    • Northeast Region (Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Vermont, Maine) 
  • Aligned with our Quality Standards
