The wage increase applies whether the employee is seasonal, part-time, or full-time.

As a 100% employee-owned Benefit Corporation, King Arthur Baking Company is committed to the best interests of all its stakeholders: employees, community, and the environment. In addition to receiving competitive pay, King Arthur employees are eligible for profit-sharing and participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) which has historically resulted in over 25% of additional annual compensation.

“We truly believe this base wage increase is the right thing to do for our business,” says Karen Colberg, Co-CEO. “We’re proud of our overall compensation package at King Arthur and hope this will bring even more people to the state of Vermont. As a Benefit Corporation, we are guided by the belief that if we do the right thing for our people, the business will prosper.”

The new entry wage far exceeds the Vermont state minimum wage of $12.55/hour and New Hampshire state minimum wage of $7.25/hour. The hiring minimum at King Arthur was previously $15/hour and had been in place since September 2019.
