In support of the health and well-being of our customers, community, and our team of employee-owners we continue to adjust our approach to the services available at our Norwich, VT destination. Check this page for operations updates.

Retail Store

The King Arthur retail store is now open from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. daily. 

To ensure the safety of all our customers and staff in compliance with the latest COVID-19 state guidelines, here's what we are doing:

  • We will require masks are worn inside the building

  • While shopping, please observe social distancing of 6 feet or more

  • We will be limiting the total number of people in the store at a time (expect wait times up to 45 minutes during weekends and holidays).

  • Retail store shoppers should use the large parking lot, and enter through the courtyard entrance. The small front parking lot will be used for call and collect orders. Please follow directional signs.

Bakery & Café

The King Arthur Bakery & Café is now open from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. daily. Please follow shopping guidelines outlined under Retail Store, above. Our café now offers daily bread and pastries, brewed coffee and espresso drinks, and grab and go items (granola yogurt parfaits, fruit cups, salads, sandwiches, ice cream sandwiches, frozen pizza dough, frozen pie crusts, frozen cookie dough, and large pizzas). Our made-to-order menu selections are not available at this time. While we have paused our indoor seating, there is ample outdoor seating.

The bakery is making the following breads:

  • Daily: Just Bread, Vermont Country Loaf, Organic 5 Seed Sourdough, French Loaf, French Batard, Baguette, and Burger Buns (package of 6)

  • Monday - Friday: Volkornbrot, Volkornbrot with Currants

  • Monday: Roasted Potato with Rosemary

  • Tuesday: Organic Flax Seed

  • Wednesday: Harpoon Miche, Sonnenblumenbrot

  • Thursday: Thornhill Rye, Semolina

  • Friday: Deli Rye, Challah

  • Saturday: Organic Flax Seed, Olive Levain

  • Sunday: Cider Rye, Semolina

The bakery is making the following pastries daily: Croissants, Chocolate Croissants, Cinnamon Rolls, Sticky Buns, Blueberry Muffins, Raspberry Buttermilk Coffee Cake (6 piece), Chocolate Chip Cookies (individual and 6-pack), Almond Cloud Cookies (individual and 6-pack), Flourless Chocolate Walnut Cookies, Frozen Single and Double Pie Crusts, Frozen Sugar Cookie Dough Logs, and Frozen Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Available Saturday and Sunday only: Kugelhopf.

We are now taking orders for whole pies (Apple, Mixed Berry, Lemon Meringue, and Key Lime) and celebration cakes (Vanilla Cake with Chocolate Frosting, or Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Frosting). Pies and cakes require 48-hours of lead time. To place your order, call 802-526-1845.

Pizza Thursdays: Every Thursday, our bakery + café makes made-to-order pizzas and salads to go. Pizza options are cheese, pepperoni, white pizza (Bechamel Sauce, Mozzarella, Ricotta, Garlic Oil, and Fresh Basil), and a chef's veggie. Salads serve two, and the options are Caesar or Garden. Each Thursday, our bakery also makes a seasonal dessert. To place your order, call 802-526-1845. Orders must be placed by Wednesday for pick up on Thursday. 

Call and Collect

Call and Collect is still available. Our team is ready to help you with your selections and will pack your order and have it ready for pick up within 10 minutes. To place your order, call (802) 649-3361. To pick up your order, please use the entrance that faces Route 5, the driveway near the bus stop and just north of Crossroads Farm Stand.
