Im late to this (so very late!) but yes, according to my Grandma (years ago) and now my wife, biscuits have to touch for tall biscuits. And be in a pan with a little turned up side to it. The wife is almost under orders to make her biscuits for family breakfasts, and are referred to as "Grandma's Story-and-a-half Biscuits". As soon as we make more lard for the winter for biscuits and such, I'll try to remember to post some pictures of a pan of them
