I am looking for a mamoul crust that has a little chew to it. I tried a recipe yestersay and it was a fail. I do not want it to be a hard crust like a dry cookie, nor do I want it to be a crumbly soft buttery crust. Can you tell me about the texture please? The addition of the egg and confections sugar make me feel that perhaps they are the missing ingredients to past recipes that I did not like.
